Do You Need a Visa?

Visa Types

• Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) – Eligible visa-exempt travelers may need K-ETA approval before departure unless they qualify for an applicable exemption. K-ETA is an electronic travel authorization, not a visa. Please check the official website for current eligibility and exemption rules.
• Short-Term Visitor Visa (C-3) – Travelers who are not eligible for visa-free entry may need an appropriate short-term visa. The specific visa category depends on the purpose of the visit, including whether the participant is attending a conference, conducting business, or engaging in another permitted activity.
• Electronic Visa (e-Visa) – South Korea provides electronic visa applications for certain eligible categories and applicants. However, not all short-term conference participants qualify for an e-Visa, so applicants should confirm the appropriate procedure with the Korean immigration authorities or the relevant embassy or consulate.

Invitation Letter

After completing your registration for the World Conference on Teaching, Learning, and Education, the conference organizers will issue an official invitation letter to support your visa application, where applicable.

The invitation letter serves as confirmation of your participation in the conference and may be submitted with your visa application to the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Korea in your country.

Please note that an invitation letter does not guarantee visa approval. Applicants are responsible for confirming the required documents and submitting their applications in accordance with the instructions of the relevant Korean diplomatic mission.

Apply Early
